Primary liver cancers and some metastases may be treated with surgery, thermal ablation, radiation or systemic drugs. IRE has been discussed in the literature for lesions where heat-based ablation could risk injury to adjacent bile ducts or major vessels, always within individualised planning.
Liver treatment planning usually involves hepatobiliary surgeons, interventional radiologists and oncologists. Imaging review on a high-quality arterial and portal phase CT or MRI is standard.
If your question is primarily liver-focused, your GP will usually refer to a liver multidisciplinary service. Dr Kooner's urology practice can address urological cancers and may coordinate with other teams when care overlaps.
You can ask for a second opinion on imaging, diagnosis and treatment options before you decide.
